The journey
3 nights Tbilisi → 1 night Kakheti
For a first, shorter taste of Georgia: two or three days in Tbilisi — the sulfur baths, Narikala Fortress, the balconied lanes of the old town — then east into Kakheti, the birthplace of wine, for a private tasting at Tsinandali Estate's historic palace and gardens, a walk through Sighnaghi's hilltop streets, and Bodbe Monastery. A day trip to Mtskheta and Jvari Monastery, Georgia's spiritual heart, rounds it out before flying home.
