The journey
2 nights Madrid → 1 night Toledo → 2 nights Seville → 1 night Córdoba → 2 nights Granada
The itinerary every serious first trip to Spain is built around. Madrid opens it — the Prado, the Retiro, tapas crawls through La Latina — before Toledo's walled old city breaks the journey south. Andalusia then takes over: Seville's Alcázar and a private flamenco tablao rather than a tourist dinner-show, Córdoba's Mezquita with its forest of striped arches, and Granada's Alhambra, visited early or after hours to see it without the midday crush. Ronda, perched on its gorge, closes the loop before the flight home.
