Camino's Final Steps: Galicia & Santiago de Compostela
The journey
4 nights along the Camino (Sarria to Santiago, moving most nights) → 2 nights coastal Galicia
Not a pilgrimage in the religious sense necessarily, but the Camino's last 100km on foot is a genuinely different way to arrive somewhere — walking the final stretch through Galician countryside into Santiago de Compostela's cathedral square, with luggage transferred ahead and a private guide rather than the crowded main season crush. A few days on Galicia's Atlantic coast after — seafood, the Rías Baixas — close out the only Spain itinerary built around movement rather than sightseeing stops.
